Busy Days
Why is my calendar all red
San Francisco, Morocco, Pittsburg, Indianapolis…
Last year, it was: Game Access in Brno (Czech), followed by StokerCon in Stamford (Connecticut), followed by Edmonton (work event) and Vancouver (Canada Day), and France (family vacation), with my con season ending in the fall with CanCon in Ottawa.
Last year, we wrapped up the first Kickstarter for Dead Money right as I came back from France, and I was only talking about the comic (and showing off some test prints) until we got the first printing in November.
This year, San Francisco was a trip for a family memorial. Obviously good to see the family, but it’s terrible that these get-togethers are often driven by tragedy. While I was out of town for Free Comic Book Day, I arranged for representation of Dead Money at our Friendly Neighborhood Comic Store.
Morocco was a fantastic opportunity to speak at the 3rd Annual Morocco Gaming Expo. I need to put some thoughts down about this soon, before it fades.
Obviously, we wrapped up our second Dead Money Kickstarter right after, which was a great milestone.
And now I’m off to my second StokerCon, in Pittsburg this year. To hang out with horror writers, the “Halloween people,” and the fabulous Richard Dansky.
Then, end of the month is Montreal ComicCon, where I’m organizing more video game panels than before.
Which should be followed by GenCon.
And then MAYBE FanExpo.
Wrapping up with CanCon, rapidly becoming one of my favorite events. (They are all good, but this one is special).
Dead Money 2 is still in the final polish phase, but it’s getting closer. And we have more than half of the inks in for issue 3. I need to start the lettering on that, soon. And script 4 is in review.
Busy days.
